Today the Marin Society of Artists online show “Exposed 2022” went live on their site. I had two pieces accepted to the show. One received THIRD PLACE (you can see it censored on today’s (March 15 2022) MYQ-ART blog here. )

Received another Finalist position for the monthly Shoot the Frame competition with this landscape. I made it in Egypt 3 years ago, right about this time, near the Great Pyramids.
On this cold morning it seems like a nice warm shoot from last year is called for. Not my usual fare, but one must get outside the box sometimes…despite that I’m shooting it in a studio box…
Another shoot I did in 2021. I’d photographed their mom early 2021 and a few weeks later she brought her kids over for our first shoot. The kids weren’t sure what to do at first so we just went with goofy faces and then their mom played some music on her phone and then it was a party!
1920’s they were still dealing with a pandemic. Makes me wonder if there will be one in 2120. Assuming we haven’t gone all Mad Max by then hopefully the fashion will still be en vogue. Here are a few pieces from a shoot I did with Jeanevev last month. She’d been to a theme party and looked so fancy it seemed like a good idea to capture the outfit and her class for posterity.
Received word that the photo below was a finalist in the monthly “Shoot the Frame” contest.
I get to photograph this young lady a couple times a year and she’s always a delight.
I had the privilege of photographing Scorpius Dance Theatre’s return to the stage with another performance of Dorian Gray, last seen in 2019.
Another series from 2021, this is from the first (and so far only) time Mizzfittt and I’ve been able to work together, but I think we did nicely with her concept.
There always has to be a first shoot. These are from January 2021, my first shoot with Lexy. We’ve gone on to do about half a dozen or so more in the last year, but this is where it started.

As I continue to slowly post things that were shot in the last year but were never posted for whatever reason (in this case, holding off on a magazine submission), this one seemed a fun one to get some screen time. I shot this with Caitlyn at The Grove in Gilbert, AZ in January 2021. It’s a neat little location when it’s kept up.
